Hypnosis
We are all shaped by our experiences. By teachers, parents, friends, and television. By bad experiences and traumatic events. By ex-partners, abuse, and harsh words.
You’ve been told that there are things you can’t figure out. That you have certain personality traits, both good and bad. Or perhaps this has been implied in your upbringing and life experiences. You often act and make decisions based on these influences—but maybe that’s not the real you at all. Maybe you’ve lost sight of who you really are.
Our low self-esteem often leads us to do things we don't really want to do. We have a hard time saying no, even when we don't really feel like it and there are other things we'd rather do.
That means there’s too much overtime; too much helping out everywhere; too much “them” and too little “me.”
For some people, "them" take up so much space that it consumes all their mental energy, and they are forced to neglect their personal well-being, causing significant disruption to their daily lives.
It is my contention that when you set a goal for yourself, you are simultaneously charting the path to it. You could have taken many other paths, but you don’t. Why? Because you’ve been conditioned to believe that you can’t handle those paths. You’re not good enough. You don’t have “the skills.” Most of the time, this is a lie you tell yourself. You’re capable of much more than you think—you just need to remove your limitations. Hypnotherapy is a remarkably effective method that helps you see who you really are.
Trauma sounds so serious. Often, it’s events we’re completely unaware of that have affected us so deeply, simply because we didn’t understand them when they happened. This is typically because we were too young to figure out what it was all about. Sometimes the client thinks the experience has been fully processed, and yet that’s where we end up. With the help of hypnosis, it’s possible to go back to the event and change the understanding—and thus the reaction it caused.
A course of treatment typically consists of 1 to 5 sessions, depending on what you need help with and how long you’ve had the problem.
Hypnosis is incredibly effective for addressing trauma, old beliefs, unwanted habits, entrenched attitudes, negative emotions, and unwanted behaviors, as well as for relieving chronic pain. This means you can get help with issues such as stress, anxiety, self-esteem, self-confidence, phobias, weight loss, and more.
From time to time, I incorporate other elements into my hypnosis sessions: mindfulness, meditation, music, gratitude exercises, self-love exercises, and many other things. You should expect to work on yourself on a daily basis. Changing your mindset is an exciting process, and I expect you to take responsibility for your own progress.
